Fortifying Safety Defenses | Jiangsu JWC Group Conducts Forklift Accident, Emergency Evacuation, and Fire Drills
2025-09-20
To further enhance safety awareness among all employees, improve emergency response capabilities for unexpected incidents, and ensure the safety of company personnel and assets, Jiangsu JWC Group successfully conducted a forklift accident, emergency evacuation, and fire drill this afternoon. This exercise aimed to simulate real-life scenarios to test and refine the company's emergency response plan while reinforcing employees' safety knowledge and practical skills.

At 3:00 PM, the drill commander gave the order, and the exercise officially commenced!
At the simulated site, a forklift operator improperly maneuvered while turning, causing the cargo to tip over. The falling goods “struck” another employee who was passing by. Nearby workers immediately shouted warnings and swiftly pressed the emergency stop button. Simultaneously, they reported the incident to the emergency command center via telephone.
The emergency response team sprang into action. The security team immediately cordoned off the accident site to prevent secondary injuries. The medical team arrived swiftly with stretchers and first-aid kits. They first assessed the victim's consciousness, then administered first aid—stopping bleeding, applying bandages, and immobilizing the injury—before transporting the victim to the hospital.

Engineering personnel immediately cut off power to the accident area to prevent electrical fires and applied emergency brakes to the forklift.
As the incident escalated, simulated sparks from the short-circuited circuit ignited packaging materials, generating dense smoke. The emergency command center immediately escalated the response, initiating full evacuation and firefighting protocols.
The evacuation team promptly guided all employees to quickly and orderly retreat to the designated emergency assembly point via the nearest safe exit. Employees maintained a low posture, covered their mouths and noses, and were swiftly accounted for to ensure no one was left behind.

Members of the firefighting team grabbed nearby fire extinguishers and rushed toward the “fire point.” They skillfully pulled the safety pins and aimed the spray at the base of the flames. Simultaneously, another team swiftly laid out fire hoses, connected them to hydrants, and surrounded the simulated fire scene for extinguishing. They successfully contained and extinguished the “fire.”

The entire drill proceeded with clear instructions, swift responses, and seamless coordination, achieving the desired outcomes.
Safety can be rehearsed, but life cannot be rehearsed. This comprehensive drill served not only as training but also as a vivid safety education lesson. It effectively tested the feasibility and effectiveness of the company's emergency response plan, enhanced coordination capabilities among departments, and strengthened each employee's self-protection awareness and emergency response skills.
Jiangsu JWC Group will continue to fortify its safety defenses, regularly conduct diverse safety initiatives, embed safety principles into the collective consciousness, and cultivate safety as a habitual practice. Together, we will foster a secure, harmonious, and stable work environment!
