On the eve of "May Day" International Labor Day, on April 26th, a themed event titled "The Spirit of Model Workers Illuminates the Path of Ingenuity, Intangible Cultural Heritage and Literary Fragrance Enrich Enterprise Humanity" was grandly held at the Group's employee meeting center. The event was jointly hosted by the Jinhu County CPPCC Committee of Culture, History and Learning, and the Licheng Street Working Committee, and undertaken by JWC Group. Through the innovative form of "Four Advances of Culture and History," the event deeply integrated cultural inheritance with enterprise construction, bringing a feast of spiritual culture to JWC employees.
The event kicked off amidst a fragrant atmosphere of books. Ms. Xu Ping, a Jinhu County CPPCC member and publicity and united front committee member of the Licheng Street Working Committee, donated a batch of books on local history and humanities classics to JWC Group. These classics will be housed in the Group's cultural station, serving as a "spiritual charging station" for employees to enhance their humanistic literacy and injecting fresh impetus into the enterprise's cultural construction.
Mr. Zhang Lailin, a senior lecturer at the County Party School, a council member of the Huai'an New Fourth Army Research Association, and a specially appointed expert of the Municipal CPPCC Committee of Culture and History, delivered a speech themed "Learning from Role Models." Through vivid examples such as Wu Yunduo, a war hero and "pride of Jinhu," Gao Hu, the lifesaver of wounded and sick soldiers of the East China Field Army, Liu Renxiang, one of the first national combat heroes of New China, and Zhang Taiming, the "crayfish king" of Jinhu, we gained a deeper understanding of the connotation and value of the spirit of model workers. Every JWC employee present was deeply inspired and expressed their determination to take model workers as examples, work diligently in their respective positions, strive for progress, and achieve extraordinary lives in ordinary positions.
The highlight of the event came during a paper-cutting class led by Mr. Lu Gongxun, a provincial intangible cultural heritage inheritor. With red paper flying and scissors dancing, over 50 employees participated in the creation, and "red heart" paper-cutting works themed "JWC Workers Love the Motherland" gradually emerged. When the spirit of model workers meets intangible cultural heritage, it not only strengthens the spiritual foundation of the enterprise's development but also shapes a unique humanistic temperament. At the end of the event, all participants took a group photo holding their paper-cutting works, symbolizing the generational transmission of the "torch" of cultural inheritance and signifying that JWC people will use cultural soft power to forge a strong support for development.
